Woodland Santa Table for One

Even though the inspiration Santa for today's table is not the typical red Santa you think of, it is one of my favorites - so I wanted to use it as soon as possible. Here's the table Pat came up with for me:
Over view of the table

The inspiration Santa - (faux fir, I promise, PETA)

The place setting

Flatware is by Cambridge - it seemed like the perfect choice for a woodland tablescape

The napkin is held by a wooden-like Santa head and a miniature sleigh (which we use on a big table as placecards)

Dinnerware is from Kohl's

We used the sleigh to hold the salt and pepper shakers since we don't have a bread and butter plate to fill up the corner. Pat also uses them to hold votives and tealight candles on tables.

Santa holds a red sleigh

Pat thought simple pine cones and red, wooden garland was best for the tree

One last look
Where it came from:
Green Plaid Placemat - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Flatware - by Cambridge from Tuesday Morning
Dishware - from Kohl's last season
Napkin - Pier 1
Santa, Beaded Garland, Sleighs - Michael's
Wooden Santa Head Napkin Ring - from Kohl's ornaments
Brown glass - by Libby from Kohl's two years ago
Beer Pilsner - from the Dollar Store

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" Wednesday:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

  1. I adore this table! Santa looks like a big teddy bear in his faux fur. The rustic and simple tree is a look I'd like to see on my own full-size tree, if only I had the discipline to keep things minimal! I love those plates, and regret having missed out on them last year. And I have similar flatware, only with the pine cone design instead of the woodlands design (I seriously debated over the two before I decided on the pine cones!). We used to live in the Colorado foothills and I would set a cabin-themed Christmas table every year, but now that we are in Georgia I haven't done that in a while. This may be the time to pull out those items again, if only for old times' sake!

  2. Each day I think 'this is my favorite' and then I say the same thing the next day. I love this and that Santa is so cuddly in his 'fake' fur!!! The dishes and sleighs are so perfect on this table! I've been sharing all your tables on my FB page as I think everyone should be enjoying these tables!!
