Blue and Green Autumn Tablescape

I am not a big fan of traditional Autumn colors - you know: rust, orange, brown, gold....so when Pat set this week's Table for One, I was delighted.

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

We had been looking everywhere for a rimmed sage colored plate several years ago.....then we took a trip to the supermarket and there on the discount shelf we found eight of these. They were perfect.....

As most people know, I collect Fiesta(ware) bread and butter plates - this one is "Old Ivory" from 1936-1951. I like the color much better than the newer "Ivory" currently produced.

These inexpensive glasses from the Dollar Tree get used more than any other pattern that we own

For a simple centerpiece, Pat mixed blue and white pumpkins of assorted sizes and placed them in a small basket

Where it came from:
Distressed Charger - from Pier 1 three years ago (but still available)
Sage Green Dinner Plate - from our local WinCo Supermarket three years ago
Earthenware Accent Plate - from Pier 1 two years ago
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree four or five years ago (but still available)
Bread/ Butter Plate - Vintage "Old Ivory" (Cream) Fiesta(ware) [1936-1951] by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com

So Long Sage Fiestaware Table

Homer Laughlin recently announced that they are retiring the color "Sage" Fiesta(ware) at the end of this year. [With great excitement for Fiesta lovers, they will be releasing the name of the new color for 2019 in January!]  With that in mind, Pat decided to set the table featuring "Sage."

Pat chose a more rustic looking flatware - this is "Castello" hammered by Godinger

Pat chose a napkin ring that matches the flatware (from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago)

Glassware is "Woodland" by Fostoria

Pat tried two different goblets for the table. This was her other choice - from the Dollar Tree. Both looked OK but my favorite was the "Woodland" by Fostoria.

Where it came from:
"Place Mat" and matching Napkin - from Pier 1 last year
Grapevine Charger - found on the sale rack at Pier 1 this year
Dinner Plate and Appetizer/Bread and Butter Plate - "Sage" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com
Salad Plate - "Martillo Almond" from Pier 1 several years ago
Small Accent Plate - Vintage "Forest Green" Fiesta(ware) (1951-1959) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Brown Glassware - "Woodland" Brown by Fostoria from Tailwaggers (a local thrift store that supports our Humane Society) and Replacements.com
Green Goblets - from the Dollar Tree (still available)
Flatware - "Castello" stainless steel by Godinger from Costco years ago
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Wooden Bowl Centerpiece - from Old Town Pacific Flavors (a local kitchen store now out of business)
Brown Candles - from the Ferndale Emporium (another local kitchen and gift store)

Spode Patricia Table

I've told the story before behind the pattern "Patricia" by Spode that Pat had in her cupboard. It was given to her by her husband's late Aunt who lived in San Francisco during the 1940's through the 1980's. She was delightfully eccentric and definitely unique. My fondest moments of her was when she described why she carried a very large purse all the time - a story she told often. Being well under five feet tall and weighing much less than one hundred pounds, she always said she could ward off any "mashers" by beating them with her handbag. I could just imagine.....

Anyway, Pat pulled the place setting from the cupboard and set this week's table while laughing and reminiscing.

Flatware is "Musee" by Reed & Barton

Not a pattern that everyone likes (including Pat), I think it is beautiful - especially using gray as an accent color

The charger is one of Pat's favorites - "Faience Gray" by Christofle

Pat selected these "lined" goblets from Pier 1 because they reminded her of the swirl from the plates

The large arrangement of silk roses works well with the place setting.

Where it came from:
Charger - "Faience Gray" by Christofle from eBay
Dinnerware - "Patricia" by Spode gifted to Pat by her husband's Aunt years ago
Flatware - ""Musee" by Reed & Barton from Horchow's two years ago
Lined Glassware - from Pier 1 several years ago
Gray Hemstitch Place Mat and Matching Napkin - from Tuesday Morning this year
Candle Holders and Vase - from Pat's collection
