Sandpiper and New Meadow Fiesta(ware) Table

"Meadow" is the newest Fiesta(ware) color - it was released this year and became available in June. So, naturally, we had to have it. (It's actually the 51st Fiesta color since the introduction of the dinnerware in 1936. There are usually 14 or 15 color choices at a time so you can pick and choose your favorite. Wished we had all of them!)

Pat decided to "play" with our new dinnerware and wanted to see what other Fiesta colors went with "Meadow." She decided on "Lapis." And then chose an accent plate from Pier 1 to set the theme or the table.

Flatware is "Primary" by Noritake

This is a "Lapis" luncheon plate

The dinner plate is "Meadow"

Pat used a "Lapis" Chop Plate as a charger

Glassware is from the Dollar Tree

Pat used an assortment of grasses, stems, and twigs for the centerpiece.

Place Mat - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond years ago
Dinnerware - "Lapis" and "Meadow" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com

Rose Chintz Luncheon Table

Pat set this week's table using Johnson Brothers "Rose Chintz" dinnerware. Inspiration for using this pattern came from the pale pink charger. (Pat found several scuffed up plastic chargers at a local thrift store recently for a quarter each so she brought them home. Her sweet husband spray painted them for her. He lightly sands them, wipes them down with a tack rag, and then spray paints them with glossy plastic adhesive spray paint - it takes two coats - and then lets them dry thoroughly before stacking. That way you can have chargers in any color you want.)
Pat mixed "Rose Chintz" and Depression glass

Silverplate flatware is "Plantation" by Oneida

We have two different styles of the dinner plate - this one is called an "accent dinner plate"

It's amazing how a little spray paint can change an ugly charger into this......

We have several of these footed water tumblers in various sizes - unfortunately, we don't know the patterns. Pat uses the smaller ones for wine glasses

Where it came from:
Charger - Inexpensive plastic from a thrift store that was spray painted
Dinnerware - "Rose Chintz" by Johnson Brothers from Replacements.com
Flatware - "Plantation" by Oneida from our Mother
All Pink Glass - assorted Depression ware from our collection
Pink Napkin - Handmade by Pat to match the charger
Figurine - by Armani from our Mother's collection

Wedgwood Edme Garden Club Breakfast with Tea

One of our favorite dishware patterns is "Edme" by Wedgwood. It's extremely versatile and can be used in both casual and in formal settings. Pat set this week's Breakfast table using a "Foxglove" Garden Club luncheon plate with traditional "Edme" after spying foxgloves growing in my yard.
The accent plate has a thin green line around the center - to bring this out better, Pat used a bright green charger (her sweet husband spray painted an inexpensive plastic lacquer charger with plastic adhesive "Fusion" spray paint in a matching color)

Flatware is "Butterflies" by Godinger

I love to show the shape of cup

Since the glassware does not have a pattern name, Pat identifies it as "Ruffles have ridges" because of the rim

A 15" sandwich tray was used to hold the teapot and creamer and sugar bowl

Another fun piece - this time a sherbet was used to hold the flower arrangement

Where it came from:
Green Charger - Inexpensive plastic lacquer charger spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint
Dinnerware - "Edme" by Wedgwood from eBay and Replacements.com
Glassware - from Pier 1 several years ago
Flatware - "Butterflies" by Godinger from Horchow this year
Apricot Napkin - from Linentablecloth.com (an internet site for inexpensive table linen needs)
