Lenox Butterfly Meadow Breakfast Table

I have owned my set of "Butterfly Meadow" for twenty years - I bought it when Lenox first brought out the original classic pattern (with butterflies, dragonflies, bumblebees, and lady bugs). The dinnerware is dishwasher safe and microwaveable making it perfect for a casual meal. And best of all - it looks elegant enough to be used at a formal dinner party.

Pat used "Napoleon Bee" flatware by Wallace Silversmiths

The "galvanized" metal watering can napkin ring is from Pier 1 two years ago

Instead of butter, the extra large butter dish holds a breakfast muffin

Pat used the tea pot in the pattern for the flower arrangement

Where it came from:
Dinnerware - "Butterfly Meadow" classic by Lenox from Gottschalks (a local department store now out of business) twenty years ago
Flatware - "Napoleon Bee" stainless steel by Wallace Silversmiths from Horchow three years ago but still available
Glassware - from Pier 1 several years ago
Mint Green Tablecloth - from Linentablecloth.com (a really neat site for inexpensive tablescaping supplies)
Watering Can Napkin Ring - from Pier 1 two years ago

Spode Italian Breakfast Table

Currently, my everyday dinnerware is Spode Italian. (Both Pat and I "rotate" dinnerware - changing patterns every month or so since we are fortunate enough to own many patterns. That way, we never get tired of a pattern.) Because we wanted to go shopping and not spend a lot of time picking out a pattern to use, Pat decided to set the Table for One from my cupboard.
I just happened to use this place setting (without a salad fork) almost every morning. It sure makes eating oatmeal a real pleasure!

Rustic Fiestaware Easter Table

One of my very favorite Fiesta(ware) colors is the retired "Sea Mist" green (1991-2005). It blends well with many other Fiesta colors and always sets a great casual table.

Flatware is "Antique Copper Twig" from Black Forest Decor

The Bistro luncheon size plate is "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin. It doesn't have the same iconic Fiestaware rim.

Glassware is vintage  "Woodland" (1976-1981) by Fostoria

Pat found the rustic eggs at Tuesday Morning last year - two of them even matched the dinnerware

Where it came from:
Wicker Place Mat - from Pier 1 two years ago
Green Dinnerware - "Sea Mist" Fiesta(ware) [1991-2005] by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com and eBay
Luncheon Plate - "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) [2010-2016] by Homer Laughlin from Kohl's four years ago
Flatware - "Antique Copper Twig" from Black Forest Decor (mail order)
Goblets - "Woodland" by Fostoria from Tailwaggers (a local thrift store that supports a no-kill animal rescue shelter)
Napkin - Handmade by Pat years ago
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond four or five years ago

Bunny and Butterflies Easter Table

Last year, we bought three sets of really cute bunny plates from Pier 1. We used two sets on our other blog this week and couldn't resist using a plate from the same set on the Table for One blog. They are so versatile that you can set a completely different looking table every time you use them.

Instead of using the "safe" color pink to coordinate with the accent plate, Pat used "Paprika" from the butterfly and birdhouse.

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

Sage green glassware is from the Dollar Tree

Pat placed a small butterfly on a simple napkin ring to add a little flair

Where it came from:
Green Faux Wood Charger - from Pier 1 two or three years ago
Dinner and Bread/Butter Plates - "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com
Accent Plate - "Hop Town Bunnies" from Pier 1 last year
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree  (still available)
Bird Houses - from TJMaxx two or three years ago
Small Sisal Bunnies - from Pier 1 two years ago
