Easter Reading Table

Our family is a family of readers. We have always had books in the house - especially when we were children. One of my favorite books when I was young was The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Pat - without me noticing - pulled out some of my old books to set this week's table. One was The Secret Garden. Of course, I had to reread it (the glasses on the table are really mine.)

I love this plate - I had the exact same pair of glasses when I was young......

I also love the 1949 movie adaptation of the book that stars Herbert Marshall and Margaret O'Brien. I'm a sucker for old black and white movies......

Another Easter Table

I love rabbits. I always have. And I love Easter because I can decorate with them. This week's table uses a bunny that Pat bought a couple years ago at Michael's. She mixed it with lots of colorful Fiesta(ware).
Pat used Fiesta(ware) in three different colors: Poppy, Peacock, and Lemongrass.

Whimsical Easter Table

I have no idea how Easter and bunnies got together - or how baskets of candy and hard boiled eggs fit in.  But I love Easter and can't wait to bring out my collection of "rabbits." Pat set this week's table using a very old ceramic bunny that I made over 40 years ago....

Flatware is "Silver Tear" by Gourmet Settings

Love this face

Pat made this delicate porcelain egg while I made the big, goofy ceramic bunny - you would never guess we were sisters....

222 Fifth Adelaide Table

Pat decided to set a simple, fun table this week. Since one of her favorite dinnerware makers is 222 Fifth (PTS), it was an easy decision to pick the dishes when she saw "Adelaide Turquoise" in the cupboard.

Pat used no-frills "Everyday" flatware by Reed & Barton

I couldn't believe it when Pat found this napkin in our "supply" - it is a perfect match

I always love it when we get a chance to use these porcelain birds - they were our Mother's
