Fiestaware and Daisies

Pat set a sweet table this week using Fiesta(ware) and Fitz & Floyd's "Variations (Daisies)." The accent plate works well with many of Fiesta's colors, so it was easy to come up with an interesting table.

Flatware is one of my personal favorites - "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton

Somehow, no matter what I did when I took the pictures, the "Sunshine" yellow luncheon plate always looked pale yellow - but it really is a bright, cheery yellow.

The dinner plate is "Shamrock" Fiesta

One of Pat's favorite things to do to add more color is to use two placemats in coordinating colors

You'll see these lanterns a lot - they are one of our favorite versatile table decorations

Hummingbird Table

Pat is known around her neighborhood for the hundreds of hummingbirds that "dine" on her bird feeders. She and her husband fill at least five feeders a day almost everyday throughout the year. It is truly amazing and unbelievable until you actually see it from her wall of windows in her livingroom.

To pay homage to those rascally, pesty birds [You can tell that I don't share the same "love" of them as my sister....], Pat set the Table for One using a Fitz & Floyd "Hummingbird" accent plate.

Pat used a Mikasa Rose "Color Spectrum" charger, then a Lenox "Mansfield" dinner and luncheon plate beneath the Fitz & Floyd "Hummingbird" accent plate

Glassware is from Pier 1 several years ago

The figurine is from Lefton China

Pat chose the candleholders because they look like those "tubular" shaped flowers so attractive to hummingbirds

The ivory colored vase is "Edme" by Wedgwood

Simple Garden Table

Pat decided to set the Table for One using the same pattern that she used for our other blog since it is one of her favorites. She mixed it with Fiesta(ware), again, but chose a different color to show how versatile the "Botanical Garden" pattern really is.

Pat used a "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) Luncheon plate since it matched perfectly with some of the flowers

The charger is definitely not one of Pat's favorites.....but it really goes well with the dish pattern.

How can you go wrong with the very well known and often used Dollar Store "green" glassware?

Pat often uses these tiny terra cotta flower pots to hold salt and pepper.

Where it came from:
Charger and "Garden Botanical" dinnerware - from Pier 1 last year (but it was available again this year)
Luncheon and Bread/Butter Plate - "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements (the Bread and Butter Plate)
Glassware - from the Dollar Store
Flatware - mail order from Amazon
Bird Houses - from TJMaxx last year
Bird in Nest - by Armani from our Mother's collection
Watering Can and Small Terra Cotta Planters - from Michael's
Ceramic Spoons (for the salt and pepper) - from Maryland China Company (mail order)

Gold and Black Table

Pat set the Table for One this week using a place setting from our "Singles" collection. It's called "Madeleine" by Hutschenreuther.

The setting - Pat placed a flat napkin in front under the placemat so it would not draw attention from the gorgeous dinnerware

Flatware is "Byzantine" by Yamazaki

Way out of Pat's "comfort zone," I fell in love with the glitzy placemat when I saw them at TJMaxx last year

Where it came from:
Placemat - by Chilewich from TJMaxx last year
Black Charger - "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa from Replacements
Dinnerware - "Madeleine" by Hutschenreuther from eBay
Flatware - "Byzantine" by Yamazaki from Horchow's
