Blue and Green Autumn Tablescape

I am not a big fan of traditional Autumn colors - you know: rust, orange, brown, gold....so when Pat set this week's Table for One, I was delighted.

Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

We had been looking everywhere for a rimmed sage colored plate several years ago.....then we took a trip to the supermarket and there on the discount shelf we found eight of these. They were perfect.....

As most people know, I collect Fiesta(ware) bread and butter plates - this one is "Old Ivory" from 1936-1951. I like the color much better than the newer "Ivory" currently produced.

These inexpensive glasses from the Dollar Tree get used more than any other pattern that we own

For a simple centerpiece, Pat mixed blue and white pumpkins of assorted sizes and placed them in a small basket

Where it came from:
Distressed Charger - from Pier 1 three years ago (but still available)
Sage Green Dinner Plate - from our local WinCo Supermarket three years ago
Earthenware Accent Plate - from Pier 1 two years ago
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree four or five years ago (but still available)
Bread/ Butter Plate - Vintage "Old Ivory" (Cream) Fiesta(ware) [1936-1951] by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Napkin - Handmade by Pat to match the Bread/Butter plate
Napkin Ring - from Pier 1 last year
Assorted Squash and Pumpkins - from Michael's, TJMaxx, and Pier 1

  1. I never tire of looking at your tables! This is a nice twist. I am not fond of most Halloween themed settings and orange is a color that doesn't always work well in my home. This serene setting suits me! I also enjoyed the look back to the Spode Mayflower setting. Oh, I wish I had that pattern (and so many more!)!

  2. Such a soothing and pretty fall table! That sage plate is indeed perfect with the patterned salad plate, and your blue and green pumpkins are the same shades. Happy Fall!

  3. I, too, set a table for one so I loved ALL of your ideas! I was wondering what kind of fabric you use for the napkins that you sew?

Inspiring to set a beauty for a 'solo setting.'
    Happy November.

  5. Your autumn table really appeals to me, but then my favorite colors are green and blue. The styling of the other elements is perfect. You have such interesting flatware in all your tables.
