Relay for Life Celebration Table

Every year, Pat and her husband participate in our local Relay for Life - one of the Cancer Society's yearly events to help make people aware that there is hope if you or a loved one have been diagnosed with cancer.  It is a chance to fight back against a horrible disease.

To mark the event, Pat created a table for one that celebrates survivors. The theme color for survivors is purple, so naturally, Pat chose that as the table color.

Close up of the place setting

First layer is a salad plate from 222 Fifth called "Eliza" - in plum

Next layer is a Heather Fiesta Dinner plate

The gold plate is from Pier 1 - just to add a touch of gold

The metallic purple charger is an inexpensive lacquer plate from Michael's

Pat added gold flatware to add a little glamour

The gold and pearl napkin ring is from Pier 1

Individual crystal salt and pepper shakers on a matching tray

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" this Wednesday night:  http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/

A special thanks to all the local merchants who donated this year - especially the nurseries. Pat (and I) will be selling plants Sunday morning [just one of her many jobs this weekend.] If you can, stop by.

  1. This is beautiful. I have those salad plates. I should get them out and set a table.

  2. Gorgeous colors and pieces for this thoughtful table for one. The gold makes it all looks so elegant. I have the same floral plate just in the teal/aqua color.

A joy stopping by to visit with you!
