Fourth of July Table for One

You can celebrate the Fourth of July even if you are by yourself - start by setting a bright, cheery table. Pat took an unconventional blue plate and went from there.

The place setting

This nifty charger is from Maryland China Company

Dinner plate is Scarlett Fiesta by Homer Laughlin

This layer is a Periwinkle Blue Fiesta Luncheon plate by Homer Laughlin

Inexpensive blue glassware from the Dollar Store is always versatile

To "blend in" simple satin-finished flatware is used

Not 4th of July tablescaping stuff:
My niece sent me two packages last week, but that's another story..... Anyway, she gave me matching glassware to my Lenox Espresso Brown Goblets. [Needless to say, I have a wonderful niece.] I wanted to use them right away.

Thank you, Jennifer. They are lovely. (She gave me eight of each.......)

  2. I enjoy your tables for one. No matter how many are at a table, it should be inviting as you show so well.

  3. I love the unexpected light blue in the tablescape, and the chargers and napkin rings are fantastic! The brown and white table is also lovely -- I really like the candle holders. Your niece really is wonderful to add to your set of brown glassware, and I like the way the candle holders mimic the glassware setting. Thanks again for an enjoyable post!
