Spring Pastel Table

Taking a napkin and place mat as the inspiration (one Pat made years and years ago), this week's table is set in pastels.

Flatware is "Musee" by Reed & Barton

The salad plate is Homer Laughlin's Sunflower Fiesta(ware)

My favorite Fiesta(ware) color - this is a Rose Luncheon plate (1986-2005)

The Dinner plate is Periwinkle Fiesta(ware)

I know that this is weird but.....the napkin and placemat always remind me of a Van Gogh Impressionism and/or Pointillism period painting

Where it came from:
Place Mat and matching Napkin - Handmade by Pat years ago
Charger - from the Maryland China Company (mail order)
Dinnerware - Assorted "Fiesta(ware)" by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com
Soup Bowl - "Everyday" from Target four or five years ago
Glassware - from Pier 1 two years ago
Flatware - "Musee" by Reed & Barton from Horchow's two years ago
White Porcelain Bird Napkin Ring - from The Ferndale Emporium (a local kitchen and gift boutique)
Candle and Candle Holders - from Pier 1 several years ago
Small White Birds - from our Mother

  1. This beautiful, peaceful, summer table illustrates so well how useful some pieces can be. I own a lot of periwinkle Fiestaware and have kicked myself for not acquiring some of the rose plates years ago when I could have for a much lower price! I always enjoy your blog so much!

  2. Beautiful, love those napkins. The Fiestaware with those chargers is a perfect combination.
