Claret and Cabbage Table

My neighbor is having a 2-day yard sale......I hate them but, before she knocked on my door this morning, Pat went over and bought a few things. Of course, she decided to use some of them on this week's table.
It took Pat less than 10 minutes to think up a tablescape and set the table using her yard sale finds

Not only does it go well together colorwise, I love the idea of blending Claret (wine) and Cabbage as a theme.

Pat never liked the actual bread/butter plate in the cabbage pattern - so she always used a saucer

Stuff from the yard sale

Where it came from:
Charger, Luncheon Plate, Bread/Butter (Saucer) - "Cabbage" by Bordallo Pinheiro from various places (i.e. Replacements, eBay, TJMaxx)
Dinner Plate - "Claret" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's last year
Flatware - "Treble Clef" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond three years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Store years ago (but currently available)
Candle Holders and Grapes/Leaves - from the Yard Sale

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/
"Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Not exactly tablescaping stuff:
This is the actual Bread/Butter plate

Here is the Bread/Butter plate and the saucer side by side

  2. I am getting like you. I am staying away from yard sales lately. it ems like all the ones I go to have stuff even the thrift stores wouldn't want. Of if it is good stuff, they want retail prices.

Beautiful table, love the new candlesticks and of course my fav.....the cabbage pattern dishes. I still have my eye out for some.
