Royal Doulton Real Old Willow Table

One of my favorite blue and white combination dish patterns is "Real Old Willow." It has been produced by several manufacturers - mine is by Royal Doulton. Pat used it for this week's table and put together a simple but sweet table setting for one.

Pat used a gold leaf charger to bring out the gold on the plate

I love this blue champagne flute - no doubt about it, it is my favorite. I saw it once in a book written by the late interior designer and  tablescaper extraordinaire, Joe Nye, and I knew that I had to have it. It took me months and months checking eBay, boutiques, internet, antique stores, yard sales, etc., and I finally found them.....

Naturally, Pat had to have wine in a blue wine bottle to coordinate with the table

Here's where it came from:
Gold Leaf Charger - from Costco years ago
Dinnerware - "Real Old Willow" by Royal Doulton from Replacements and eBay
Flatware - pattern unknown by F.B. Rogers & Son from eBay
Glassware - "Swirl" from Pier 1 several years ago
Blue Champagne Flute - from eBay years ago
Blue Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Napkin ring and Gold Bowl - from Pier 1
Lead Crystal Candle Holders - from Tuesday Morning
Candles and Silk Roses - from Michael's

  1. Real Old Willow is a beautiful pattern, and the blue champagne flute is a perfect companion. Your table for one is exquisite. One would not feel alone at this beautifully set table.
