Cuisine Kathleen's December Challenge

One of our favorite things to do is participate in Cuisine Kathleen's Challenges. This week's challenge was to select a tablescape picture from a magazine or from Pinterest and copy it. Our table is taken from Southern Lady Holidays, Christmas, 2012. "French-inspired accents lend a Continental charm" to the Holiday setting, according to the magazine. While there was not much "Christmas" to the setting, it was beautiful.
The inspiration place setting - a small Limoges box sits on an elegant Herend plate. A pink rose arrangement in a large urn and crystal goblets finish the look.

Their place setting

Our place setting - Pat went with blue china to compliment the Limoges "egg." She layered the white tablecloth with a gold overlay to add to the glitz.

The pattern is called "Athene" by Paragon China. The detail is beautiful.

Another picture from the magazine shows an assortment of Limoges boxes, so Pat layered a few on the table

One last look

Where it came from:
Gold Tablecloth Overlay - from our collection
Gold Leaf Charger - from Costco years ago
Dinnerware - "Athene" by Paragon China from eBay
Glassware - "Esprit" from Princess House years ago
Gold Flatware - from F.B. Rogers
Crystal Candle Holders - from Pat's collection
Individual Crystal Salt/Pepper Shakers - by Godinger Crystal from eBay
Limoges trinket boxes - from our Mother
