Sinterklaas Table for One

December 5th is just around the corner and time for Sinterklaas to appear. (Sinterklaas is not exactly the Dutch form of our Santa, but his tradition runs as deep. (You can read a little about him at:  http://www.iamsterdam.com/en-GB/experience/what-to-do/whats-on/event-guide/december/holiday-season-in-amsterdam/Sinterklaas ) So, what could be more appropriate than to set a table in honor of him?

Flatware is European-style "Pure" by Gourmet Settings

Pat and I bought these glasses the first year that Pier 1 opened in our town

An over-sized Waechtersbach dinner plate was used as a charger

Vintage cobalt blue Fiesta was the perfect color - not as dark as the Post 86 version

Universal China made this pattern in several slight variations using different rims

Pat originally bought these tiny white pitchers to use as individual syrup holders for breakfast

I am sooooo sorry this is out of focus (it's the best picture of the bunch I tried to take) - the detail on Sinterklaas' "windmill" staff is incredible
