Valentine for One Tablescape

Valentine table for one??? Contradiction? Misnomer? Paradox? I say, "Why not?" Do what makes you happy......and "playing with dishes" and setting a nice table makes us happy. So, Pat set a traditional Valentine's Day table this week using a gorgeous red vase she bought recently as the inspiration piece.

Sorry for a rather dark picture.  But...Yes!!!.....we are grateful for the rainy, dark, dreary weather. It means water. And water means no rationing. (Remember, we live in California where we are going through the worst drought in history.)

Pat used this cute heart shaped plate as the bread and butter plate

Salt and pepper in tiny salt cellars

One last look

  1. So very pretty and I've spent many a Valentine dinner alone, lol, so this is perfect!

  2. Just the perfect setting for one! The red charger is a great basis for your layering of plates. The white roses in that gorgeous red crystal vase is the perfect centerpiece. Hope you will take a peek at my Valentine's red and white table for you might enjoy it!

    Have a grand 14th!

  4. Adorable! And of course you need a Valentine's placesetting just for one. Everyone is special and should be treated like a Queen - (even if it the Queen treating herself!) Your setting is just lovely and the little heart bowl is just precious.
