Tree Frog Table For One

Every once in a while, Pat pulls something off one of my shelves and comes up with some really fun and unique tablescapes. That's what happened today. I challenged her to set a table using a placemat that we have had for a very long time, and in less that ten minutes, she had most of the table together. Her inspiration? It wasn't the placemat. It was:

Donald

The place setting

Flatware is "Silver Tear" by Gourmet Settings

Pat used bright colors - Shamrock and Peacock Fiesta

This is the placemat that I challenged Pat with

This very unusual handmade votive holder was a gift to Pat

Pat found matching napkin rings at Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Pat used a green candle on this side of Donald to balance the table

I heard Pat washing something in the sink this morning. She found these rocks in one of my garden beds (table décor can come from anywhere.....)

One last look

  1. Donald is almost as cute as this tablescape. Love the colors of the Fiesta ware!! Always such attention to details!

  2. Kermit the frog may not think it's easy being green, but Donald seems to have no problems with it if he can even inspire a whimsical tablescape. The swirly pattern on the glasses even seem to match his froggy skin. I love Pat's creativity here!
