Johnson Brothers Autumn Monarch Table

For an easy and quick table, Pat set "The Table for One" using Johnson Brother's "Autumn Monarch." It's a classic ironstone scalloped pattern with a floral edge and a turkey in the center.

Purchased as my "everyday" flatware nearly forty-five years ago, "Iron Brown" lives up to its name. The ceramic handles are exceedingly strong and only two have broken over the years.

The brown glassware - "Clarion" by Lenox - was also purchased as my "everyday" glassware years ago.

Where it came from:
Faux Leather Place Mat - from Pier 1 several years ago
Dinnerware - "Autumn Monarch" by Johnson Brothers from Replacements.com
Bread and Butter Plate - "Chocolate" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Flatware - "Iron Brown" by Noritake from Walsh's (a local China and wedding gift store long out of business)
Glassware - Brown "Clarion" by Lenox also from Walsh's years ago
Brown Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Wooden Candle Holders - from Pat's collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Such a lovely table! As I see your flatware and glasses I can't help but remember my own bridal shower 40 years ago, the theme was "earth tones". Still beautiful!

  2. Leave it to those Johnson Brothers to create such a perfect Thanksgiving pattern! And leave it to you two to set and photograph such a lovely table! :) Thanks for all of it!
