Castleton Rose Table for One

"Castleton Rose" dinnerware was produced by the Castleton China Company, a subsidiary of Shenango China, from 1950 to 1972. Due to its popularity, it was listed in Harry Rinker's Dinnerware of the 20th Century: The Top 500 Patterns even though it was only available for twenty-two years.

The charger is  "Royal Blue" Color Spectrum china by Mikasa

Glassware is "Angela" by Bohemia Glass Company

Flatware is "Antique Baroque" by Wallace Silver

Pat made an arrangement of  silk "old roses" in a crystal basket for the centerpiece.

  1. I have been a frequent visitor to your site(s), as well as your sisters. I really enjoy both your site. You both do an amazing job. You are very inspiring and creative. I know this project of yours must take an incredible amount of time, lifting, planning and dedication. I know this is a big ask - but Is there any chance you could include labels or tags of the major manufacturers of the various tablescaping products? Example: Lenox China, Wallace Silverware, Fiesta, Waterford. This way we can easily visit your past content. Another idea would be to include seasonal tags such as Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, Halloween, St. Patricks Day. The Washington Post and The Telegraph both had articles in March 2019 saying patterned and vintage china are coming back. Again thanks for all you do!

  2. Correction: Washington Post article was in Feb. 2019 "Why vintage china is making a comeback."

  3. I love this china! My grandmother's Castleton ("Sunnyvale") china ignited my love of pretty china - and this has some of the same colors and flowers in a different design. As always, you have set a lovely table.

  5. I love the vintage dishes. Those are good tips regarding the tags. I need to do that too.
