Easter Time Table

Using one of our "Elegant Gray Bunnies" plates that we bought last year from Pier 1 as the inspiration to this week's tablescape, Pat set the table in coordinating gray and pink colors.

This is one of four different bunny patterns in a boxed set.

Flatware is "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton

To carry the "bead" theme, Pat used "Pearl Pink" beaded dinnerware from JCPenney

Pat needed a light gray charger - so her wonderful husband gave new life to an inexpensive old lacquer charger by spray painting it a soft gray that goes well with the accent plate.

Once again, Pat tried several different goblets - the best one was her "fallback" and very favorite - Dollar Tree's water and wine duo

We found the porcelain basket at Pier 1 several years ago

Where it came from:
Light Gray Charger - Inexpensive lacquer charger spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint
Pink Dinner and Bread/Butter Plates - "Pearl Pink" by JCPenney from Replacements.com
Accent Plate - "Elegant Gray Bunnies" from Pier 1 last year (one of four different bunnies in a boxed set)
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree
Flatware - "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton from Costco four or five years ago
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
White Porcelain Basket - from Pier 1 three years ago
Glass Candle Holder - from TJMaxx two years ago

Lenox "Spring Bouquet" Table

Although you can't tell by the very wet, cold weather outside, Pat wanted to celebrate the arrival of Spring with Lenox's beautiful Springtime dinnerware - "Spring Bouquet." Instead of a formal table, she dressed it down a little by using a casual wicker place mat, Fiesta(ware) charger, and garden accent pieces.

Flatware is the very popular "Napoleon Bee" stainless by Wallace

"Spring Bouquet" was produced from 1980 through 1987. I love the fluted rim.

The charger is a "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) chop plate

Pat has been using this glass a lot lately - from the Dollar Tree

I know most people do not use a cup and saucer at meal time but I love to show the shape of the cup

To add to the Spring-theme, Pat used a watering can napkin ring

Of course, you have to have a watering can filled with Spring blooms......

Where it came from:
Wicker Place Mat - from Pier 1 two years ago
Charge - "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Dinnerware - "Spring Bouquet" by Lenox from eBay
Flatware - "Napoleon Bee" stainless by Wallace Silversmiths from Horchow
Glassware - From the Dollar Tree three or four years ago but still available
Napkin and Napkin Ring - from Pier 1 last year

Daffodils and Springtime Table

With gray skies and flooding all around, Pat said we need something to brighten the day. So - without much prodding, she pulled out some very colorful dinnerware and set this week's table.
This place setting says "seriously sunny" compared to the gray and black rain clouds outside....
