It seems that Pat's unifying theme this week on both of our tablescaping blogs is the color gold. (She said that she had her fill of Elvis [the theme for "The Welcomed Guest" this week] when I suggested doing another table to celebrate "the King's" birthday. I asked: how can you have too much Elvis????) Anyway, she mixed gold with green and came up with this:
Where it came from:
Antique Gold Charger - from Tuesday Morning this year
Green Charger - Inexpensive lacquer charger spray painted green
Dinnerware - "Malachite" from Maryland China Company several years ago
Bread/Butter Plate - "Westchester" by Lenox from our collection
Flatware - Pattern unknown from eBay three years ago
Glassware - from Pier 1 this year
Green Champagne Trumpet Glass - by Judal from Replacements three or four years ago
Green Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Gold Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two or three years ago
Crystal Flower Arrangement Bowl - from Art & Old Things (a local antique store and boutique)
Gold Candles and Silk Roses - from Michael's
We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday: http://www.rustic-refined.com/
"Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
The use of gold feels very luxe in this place setting. The roses top it off nicely.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is this table! That deep green is so lovely with the gold. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYa'll are to cute! I can never get enough of his movies or his music. The green and gold is popping like his hips! Great job ladies.
