Dog Days Table for One Style

Like I confessed on our other blog last week, my family loves dogs, and we have owned many over the years (or should I say, as a true dog lover, that they owned us???) Anyway, Pat decided to do a "doggy" table this week for this blog. And she chose a piece of Dachshund dinnerware by Danbury Mint as a starting point.

Flatware is black "Decision" primastone by Noritake

The inexpensive mint green dinner plate is "Martillo" from Pier 1 last year

Glassware is brown "Clarion" by Lenox

Pat took the red geraniums on the Collector's plate and made a small arrangement of matching silk flowers for the table

Where it came from:
Brown Charger - Inexpensive lacquer charger from Michael's that was spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint
Dinner Plate - Mint "Martillo" from Pier 1 last year
Accent/Salad Plate, Cup and Saucer - "Dachshund" by Danbury Mint (a gift from a dear friend)
Flatware - Black "Decision" by Noritake from Replacements and eBay
Glassware - Brown "Clarion" (1977-1983) by Lenox. Confession time: I bought it when it first came out many, many years ago...........they really last.
Red Napkin - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two years ago
Dachshund Figurine - "Sandicast" Scupltures from the Hallmark Store years ago
Decorator Collection Dachshund Plate - "Welcome Home" by Christopher Nick from Danbury Mint
Candle Holders - Black Westmoreland glass twisted holders from our collection of Depression ware
Candles - "Oatmeal" 12 inch tapers from the Ferndale Emporium (a local kitchen and gift boutique)

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/
"Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  2. Awwwww. That was the first thing I thought when I saw this table. But, then, as I realized all the attention to detail that was a part of this (including matching flowers to the detail on the plate!) I fully appreciated how special this table is! Bravo, ladies, this is a winner!!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
    P.S. I still say, "Awwwww!"
