Raggedy Ann Santa Table

Heads Up/Warning: At the risk of boring people to death, Pat and I are going to do our "month long tablescape celebration of Santa" this year beginning December 1st. That's when we set a different table everyday before Christmas using 25 Santas from our collection as the inspiration. We do it every year but don't always "publish" the results. We try to use different dishes, flatware, and glasses throughout the month to challenge ourselves. It's a lot of fun for us, but it is not everyone's "cup of tea" so to speak......so we thought we should warn you ahead of time.

Anyway, this week's table is a prelude for what's to come:
The table - Santa is "going down" the chimney with Raggedy Ann under his arm....

Pat used vintage Cobalt blue Fiesta and Scarlet dinnerware to match Santa and Raggedy Ann

Flatware is simple "Everyday" by Reed & Barton

Not a favorite of Pat's, this Maryland China charger works well with the place setting

Pat used a thin red ribbon and ornament as a napkin ring to hold a red and white napkin

Nothing fancy about this place setting - Pat used a tumbler and matching juice glass

See you Tuesday.......

Where it came from:

Diamond and Silver Santa Table

Our first Christmas table of the season features one of my favorite Santas - Pat used him as the inspiration for this week's table.
The table - silver and "diamonds"

As most people know, Pat and I collect Santas.....this is just one from the collection

Flatware is "20th Century Baroque" by Godinger Silver

Pat selected mid-Century Franciscan "Carmel" for it's platinum rim and simple design

The charger is glitzy silver and black

Naturally, Pat chose "Lady Diamond" glassware by Cris d'Arques

Where it came from:

Dishware - "Carmel" by Franciscan China Company from Cuddly Bear (a local boutique store)

Fall Fiesta Dinnerware Table

When designing a tablescape, Pat's favorite "go-to" dinnerware has always been Fiesta by Homer Laughlin - the colors seem to blend flawlessly. This week's table uses one of the newest colors - Sage. I must admit that although I really wanted this color, I was a tad disappointed when I saw it. It seems almost "milky" to me, but nevertheless, we bought our share.....
Instead of our usual white tablecloth, Pat used the natural wood of the table.

Flatware is simple but elegant "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton

We bought the napkin rings on sale at Pier 1 last year

The Fiesta "stack" includes: Ivory Dinner Plate, Sage Luncheon Plate, and Paprika Salad Plate.

Everyone knows I love bread and butter plates, but Homer Laughlin decided to discontinue making them for some reason. This is actually an appetizer plate (it's about 6 1/2" across).

Glassware is from the Dollar Store

We found these placemats at Tuesday Morning years ago

Where it came from:
Fall Paisley Placemat - Tuesday Morning
Flatware - "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton from Costco
Dinnerware - "Fiesta" by Homer Laughlin from Macy's, Kohl's and Replacements.com
Glassware - from the Dollar Store
12" Taper Candles - "Rust" by Northern Lights from the Ferndale Emporium (a local Boutique)
Candle Holders - from Pat's collection
Brown Vase - from a local thrift store and then spray painted with spray paint designed for glass
Silk Flowers - from Michael's
