Pink Flamingo Tribute

Both  of our tablescaping blogs this week were set with a tribute to the late Don Featherstone in mind - the classically trained painter and ingenious creator of the classy, kitschy, kooky pink flamingo. Our thanks go out to him for leaving a lasting and fun-loving (and sometimes annoying - if you have ever been "flamingoed" - you know, when you wake up in the morning and your entire lawn is covered in pink flamingos because you failed to return your donation to that charity you promised.....) contribution to lawns [and tablescapes] everywhere......
The whimsical, colorful table

Flatware is "Palm Tree" by Towle

Pat used a clear glass dinner and salad plate so the colorful charger shows through

To add to the tropical feel, Pat used a mango driftwood charger from World Market

To add additional color, assorted votives were used on the table

The "vase" is a coordinating plastic glass

Where it came from:
Black Placemat - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Wooden Charger - Mango driftwood from World Market
Clear Glass Dinner and Salad Plates - by Luminarc from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Plastic Flamingo Dinner Plate and Coordinating Vase/glass - "Evolution" by Sakura (a gift to Pat's Husband from their daughter)
Bread/Butter Plate - "Marigold" Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flamingo Soup Bowl - by Boston Warehouse from Ross years ago (Pat has two - they are actually Dip bowls but she uses them for flamingo soup bowls)
Flatware - "Palm Tree" Stainless Steel by Towle from Tuesday Morning
Glassware - from the Dollar Store
Blue Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Palm Tree Candle Holders - from eBay
Candles and Votives - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Glass Votive Holders and Tropical Silk Flowers - Michael's
