Table for One April Challenge

We are really excited to be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" April Blog Challenge this week ( The theme is "Birds, Nests, and/or Eggs." The table is set - here's what Pat came up with:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Flatware is simple and sleek "Everyday" by Reed & Barton

The accent/salad bird plate is by Sakura

At a dollar a plate, you can't beat this sage green coupe dinner plate for versatility

Inexpensive lacquer charger spray painted with plastic adhesive chocolate brown spray paint

Pat used a tan and a sage green napkin held by a black wire-like napkin ring

This sweet bird figurine is by Lefton China

Pat made a dry/silk flower arrangement and didn't want to use glass rocks in the vase

Of course, a good book while you dine makes the meal even better

  1. The attention to detail on this table is wonderful. Bird watching and dining!! Love that flatware also!

  2. Bird watching must be a quite process and I guess dinner for one be the same. Table is great.

  3. What a cute idea- the bird house, bird book and binoculars! I could actually use all those sitting at my kitchen table. I watch birds regularly! Those Sakura plates are cute- they make some cute stuff don't they! I had to take a step back when I saw the Lefton bird piece- my mother has that same one!

  4. Lovely, as always. Wonderful Lefton piece!

  5. Enjoy your bird watching. Such an adorable bird and apple plate. I like the green and brown and natural elements on your table.

  6. I love all of the elements of your lovely table. The apple plate with the charming bird, the binoculars setting on the bird field guide, the birdcage, the glassware and the centerpiece come together to meet Kathleen's challenge beautifully.

  7. Beautiful tablescape and I love the "apple" plates

  8. So very pretty, and your Sakura dishes put a smile on my face (such a sweet bird surrounded by luscious colorful apples!). I love your color choices and accents. Perfect choices for this challenge! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  9. How pretty! SO earthy. Looks like a still life.
    Thanks for taking the challenge!
