Sunny Branch Accent Plate Place Settings

After a visit to Pier 1 this week, Pat and I left with a new salad/accent plate (not to mention the other stuff.....) It is called "Sunny Branch." We thought it would be fun to use it this week on the table for one.

As you can see, it is easy to change the style and feel of a place setting even if you use the same salad plate. Pat took just minutes and came up with three very different, very clever looks.
The unifying element - "Sunny Branch" accent/salad plate from Pier 1

Now, the details of each setting-

  1. All three place settings are equally lovely! I love the yellow goblet and the yellow vase, but I think I have to have some of those wonderful Sunny Branch dessert plates. This means a trip to Pier 1! Shame on you two -- today is Husband Appreciation Day and my husband is not going to be happy about this! LOL!

  7. I have visited your blog once before, and I'm so glad to have another chance this time. What a great trio of looks!!! I love to see 2 things: (1) A demonstration of how a single element can yield a number of fabulous and very diverse looks, and (2) How and basically WHY folks should not balk at setting a table for one!!! I hear from SO MANY friends, "Well, it's just me. I don't see the point in setting up anything special." SAY WHAT?!??!?!!! Since when aren't you special just because there's just one of you dining?!?!??! Truth be told, I actually make it MORE fancy when it's just me because I know I won't break stuff like my husband might! :-)

I love all three looks! GREAT post! Have a great week. I'm visiting from Cuisine Kathleen's party.

  8. What a great plate! And how much fun you showed us using it in so many different and creative ways! Love the sleek ultra modern flatware with it! I'm with Alycia, setting a table for one is just as important as a table for 12!
