Lenox Rutledge Table

Pat was in a very "bright" mood when she set the Table for One this week. She chose the very popular and lovely Lenox Rutledge and added color......
Yes, orange is Pat's favorite color to use with Lenox Rutledge

Flatware is "Reverie" by Oneida. The simple pattern works well with the fluted rim of the dinnerware.

Lenox dinnerware is famous for the individually hand-applied dots

Pat always returns to Wedgwood "Edme" for accent pieces

Where it came from:
Charger and Salad Plate - Melon "Color Moods" by Cristal D'Arques from Replacements
Dinnerware - "Rutledge" by Lenox from eBay and Replacements
Silver Plated Flatware - "Reverie" by Oneida from our collection
Glassware - "Fedora" by Spiegelau from Replacements
Vintage Napkin - a gift from our Cousin
Cream Colored Vase, Candle Holders, Salt/Pepper Shakers - "Edme" by Wedgwood

Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Table

April 30th is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. As most people know, I rescued several unwanted dachshunds (finding families for some - but I was "blessed" with the six remaining.) Sadly, the older ones have passed, but I still have three wonderful dogs left. I always say that I am a hoarder - dishes and dachshunds all over the place......it's quite a houseful.

Pat decided to set the table to celebrate rescue dogs.

Candle holders are made from doggy chews

This is Marge and her dog, Max - from Richard Simmons Dolls

We have dachshund salt and pepper shakers, but Pat thought these were more fun to use....

I only have one refrigerator magnet.......and it says it all.
Where it came from:
Bone Place Mat - Handmade
Dinnerware - "Dachshund" by Danbury Mint (a gift from a very dear friend)
Flatware - "Hammered" by Godinger from our collection
Glass - from the Dollar Store
Brown Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Salt/Pepper Shaker - from Ross several years ago
Figurine - "Marge and Max" Annie Wahl doll for Richard Simmons (from our Mother)

Meet Monroe (my long haired Dachshund) - He's "helping" me take tablescape pictures for the blog. I'm not sure how old he is - but I have had him for ten years. His eyes are a little cloudy now and he's turning gray, but I love him dearly. You get so much in return when you rescue a dog......

Spode Gainsborough Spring Table

Since our other blog is set in celebration of the end to the four-year-long drought, Pat decided to set the Table for One with the same theme. She used one of our single place settings with lots of flowers as the inspiration.
The dinnerware pattern is "Gainsborough" by Spode

The charger is actually a beautiful dusty rose (but it was dark and pouring down rain when I took the picture).

Where it came from:
Charger - "Rose Blush" Color Spectrum by Mikasa from eBay
Dinnerware - "Gainsborough" by Spode from our collection
Flatware - "Marguerite" by Gorham from Pat's husband
Dusty Rose Damask Napkin - from Gottschalk's (a local department store now our of business)
Silver Napkin Ring - from Tuesday Morning two or three years ago
Water Goblet - Pattern unknown but it was a gift from a friend
Champagne Glass - from the Dollar Store
Candle Holders - from Art & Old Things (a local antique store)
Jam/Honey Jar - from Princess House years ago

Here's a few sample settings that go well with the color theme:

The pattern is "Rose Chintz" by Johnson Brothers

The pattern is "Wild Rose" by Schumann

The pattern is "Versailles" by Lenox

The pattern is "Pembroke" by Aynsley

The pattern is "Tower" by Spode

The pattern is "The Lombardy" by Johnson Brothers
