Lenox Spring Vista

This week's table uses one of my very favorite chargers - Sage "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa. When we first bought the chargers, I wasn't exactly "enthusiastic" with the pale, slightly washout color, but, as usual, Pat saw the potential. It has become another "work horse" in our tablescaping arsenal since it blends so well with many of the dish patterns that we own.
Dinnerware is "Spring Vista" by Lenox - the Mikasa charger matches perfectly.

Pat always refers to this pattern as "Ruffles have ridges"

Where it came from:
Charger - Sage "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa from eBay several years ago
Dinnerware - "Spring Vista" by Lenox from our single place setting collection
Flatware - "Kyoto" Gold by Holister Silver from Wayfair (mail order)
Glasses - from Pier 1 years ago
White Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Chiffon Napkin Overlay - a gift from Pat
Napkin Ring - from Pier 1a few years ago
Ivory Flower Vase - by Belleek from my niece
Figurine - by Armani from our Mother's collection

Schumann Wild Rose Lunch

Undoubtedly, my favorite pattern of all time is Schumann's "Wild Rose." It was the dinnerware I chose more than forty years ago as my "good" Wedding china. I still love it. It's over-the-top gaudy and sad to admit, to many people, not something that they would want to own. But to me, it is lovely. So, I was thrilled when Pat grabbed several pieces around my house and started to set the Table for One.

Normally, when we use this pattern, Pat sets the table with a very light pink napkin. This time she went with hot pink to add a little whimsy.

Flatware is "Byzantine" by Yamazaki

For a less traditional touch, Pat used Noritake's pink "Entrée" glassware

Next to impossible to find, I only own two napkin rings but I am persistent! It took me over thirty years to find the soup tureen in this pattern.....

Where it came from:
Gold Lame Tablecloth - Ross years ago
Flatware - "Byzantine" by Yamazaki from Horchow's
Glassware - "Entrée" by Noritake (1993-1999) from eBay
Dinnerware - "Wild Rose" by Schumann from anywhere I can find it
Hot Pink Napkin - Handmade by Pat
14" Ivory Tapers - from the Ferndale Emporium (a local gift and kitchen boutique)

Although it sounds somewhat strange, Pat mixed a beautiful bone china "Mystic" salad plate by Lenox with "Rose" Fiesta(ware) for this week's luncheon table.
Somehow the colors work well.....
