It seemed natural to Pat that, when Cuisine Kathleen issued a challenge for this week to all tablescapers to do a "Farewell to Summer" table, a little "reminder" table of Hawaii would be perfect.
Over view of the table - we don't usually use plastic dishware, but as Pat said, this is the beach. Fine china just wouldn't be appropriate.

Little Male Hawaiian Hula Dancer - gift from friends (when asked by my friends who were on their honeymoon to Hawaii what I would like as a souvenir , I jokingly told them to "slip a Hawaiian hunk into their suitcase and bring him on home to me" - so this is what I got....not as tall as I had hoped he would be.....)

ReplyDeleteAdorable plates and that charger is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteVery well done!
Your tables for one are always a delight, and this one is no exception. I especially like the flatware with an embossed palm tree. I could definitely go for that!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! What a nice idea to tie in the end of summer with those memories of Hawaii. Love the plates, flatware and the setting with the palm tree. I've never been to Hawaii but I know plenty of people who have and they all loved it.
ReplyDeleteIs that real sand on your table? How fun! I adore your palm tree flatware! You've set a table full of fun and fitting items for the beach scene. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat could be Florida if you added Mickey instead of the hula dancer! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
