Franciscan Carmel Table

Keeping with the retro coupe theme (our other blog is set with our Mother's vintage Sango "September Song" dinnerware), Pat set the table this week using Franciscan "Carmel" (1952-1981). It has a simple pink and gray center flower on a coupe rimless plate with platinum trim.

Although a modern, currently available  pattern, Lenox "Sculpt" flatware with it's pointed tip reminded Pat of a more vintage style and one that would have been used with "Carmel."

Where it came from:
Charger - "Rose Blush" Color Spectrum by Mikasa from eBay
Dinnerware - "Carmel" by Franciscan (1952-1981) from our single place setting collection
Glassware - from Pier 1 Imports several years ago
Flatware - "Sculpt" by Lenox (from 2010 and still available) from Tuesday Morning two years ago
Pink Fan Vase - from our Depression Ware glass collection
Glass Candle Holders - from TJMaxx two years ago
Pink Candles - from Pier 1 Imports last year

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:

  1. These pretty dishes have a very "mid century modern" vibe, and your table setting reflects that also. I like the restrained use of color, with only the charger and candles echoing the vibrant pink of the flowers, and the vase and centerpiece bringing in some similar shades. Once again, this is a table to which I'd be happy to sit down any time!
