Old Time Santa and Vintage Dinnerware

Welcome to the 24th day of our 25 Days of Christmas Tablescapes. Today's table features an old time Santa and vintage dinnerware that many people will recognize. "Colonial Homestead" was popular in the 1950's and 1960's. Our set comes from Pat's husband. He acquired them before they were married as a "give away" with a purchase at the grocery store. (You can tell that no one in the family ever throws out anything....Pat and Jim have been married for 50 years and they still have those dishes.....)
Our featured Santa

Where it came from:
Dinnerware - "Colonial Homestead" by Royal from Pat's husband
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree
Flatware - "Colonial Copper" by unknown manufacturer from Horchow's two or three years ago
Napkin - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Napkin Ring - Santa face ornament from Kohl's several years ago
Green Candle and Holder - from Pier 1 last year
Santa - from our collection
Rustic Tree - from Michael's this year

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:

  1. That dinnerware is so unique - I can't believe it was a giveaway. I love the flatware, and the Santa face napkin ring, as well as the simple tree and the vintage Santa (my table has a simple little tree on it this year, mostly because I could not find the sort of flowers I was looking for!). I can't wait to see tomorrow's table, and then we have to wait a whole year before the Santas return. Your Santa tables are always something I look forward to every December!
