Art Deco Table for One

Pat has always wanted to use our collection of Art Deco style display plates for tablescaping - as she says, they would be pulled just before any food is served since they are not food-safe. So, this is the first week (of four) that uses the series "Art Deco: Style In Motion" collector plates by the artist Marci McDonald. This plate is called: "A Flapper with Greyhounds."

Naturally, Pat had to use our Mother's Armani "Lady With Greyhound" figurine as part of the centerpiece

Where it came from:
Antique Gold Charger - from Tuesday Morning last year (but still available at Pier 1)
Gray Charger - "Faience Gray" by Christofle from eBay
Dinner Plate - "Rose" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Accent Plate - from our collection
Bread/Butter Plate - Fiesta(ware) "Slate" Appetizer plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flatware - "Kyoto Gold" by Holister from Wayfair last year
Glassware - from Pier 1 last year
Blush Colored Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Candle Holders and Flower Bowl - Depression Glass from our collection
Candles - from Tuesday Morning
Figurine - by Armani from our Mother's collection

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/
"Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Just lovely! Your Mom's figurine is exquisite and rightfully deserves to be the centerpiece of this elegant tablescape. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  3. With plates that are not food safe, I just put clear plates on top of them and serve the food on those.
