Winter Table

I love decorating with reindeer. So does Pat. And when we find an unusual pair, we just have to have them. This was true recently when we went into Pier 1 a month or so ago. I found a really neat set of gray reindeer that I thought would look great on my hall table. Pat saw them and thought they would be perfect for a table. (They'll go on the hall table next week.....)
We found the plates at Pier 1 last year - they go well with the gray theme of the table

Last of Autumn Table

With wild fires raging in California, it's hard to think that Winter is just around the corner. And, unfortunately, so far, it has been a dry Autumn season. But rain is on the way rain....

To brighten the mood this week, Pat decided to set the table using one of our new "Park Bench" pups plates from Pier 1.
Since "pups" are the theme, the table is decorated with my favorite kind of pups - Dachshunds!

Flatware is "Rustic Twig" from Black Forest Decor (mail order)

Pat tried several different colored plates and decided on "Paprika" Fiesta(ware)

The charger is a "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware) Chop plate by Homer Laughlin

Pat and I found these on the sale shelf at Pier 1 - we couldn't pass them up at 50% off

The flatware looks really neat on the table but it is NOT practical to use.....The handle is too thin and the "twig" doesn't allow you to grip it

The glass Hurricane candle holder is filled with tiny pine cones that Pat collected on one of her walks
