Casual French Tablescape

Using Royal Doulton's "The Parisian" figurine as the inspiration for this week's table, Pat pulled out clear glass dinnerware and a patterned place mat to set the table.

Pat's latest purchase - we saw the black satin  flatware at Bed, Bath, and Beyond together but didn't buy it that day even though I fell in love with the pattern. The following week Pat had it in her hands when she showed up to set the table...….nice sister, huh?

By using clear glass dinnerware, you can enjoy the place mat.

Part of our Mother's small collection of Royal Doulton figurines, this one is called "The Parisian."

To match the napkin and bring out the color from the place mat, Pat used "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) salt and pepper shakers.

Fun Gnome Table

What could be more fun than to have lunch with a gnome? Obviously Pat thought so as she set this week's Table For One.....

Flatware is by Noritake - I bought my first set forty years ago in brown. I really liked it then and I still like it. Together, Pat and I now have the pattern in six different colors.

Sorry the picture is so bad - this is the newer "Cobalt" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin. The vintage "Cobalt" (from 1936 through 1951) is somewhat lighter and brighter

Pat wanted to use the matching Gnome bowl so she made a candle holder out of it
