222 Fifth Accent Plate Tablescape

With heart pounding anticipation, I opened the box(es) from Replacements.com this week to see the "treasures" that I recently ordered. (Sometimes, you just "have to have" something you saw or read about, and Replacements allows me to do just that....) Anyway, one of the plates that I bought became the inspiration for this week's Table for One. It is called "Moyobamba" by 222 Fifth. Here's the table that Pat came up with.

The place setting

The dark olive green water goblet goes exceptionally well with the inspiration accent plate

Yes, over used, but nonetheless, this bamboo flatware goes well with the place setting

The setting consists of a salad and dinner plate

Pat used a clear glass plate from Luminarc so that the color of the charger shows through (I promise that the plate is clean - no matter what I did, the glare from the window showed as marks)

Pat found this dandy napkin ring at Pier 1 the other day - it goes perfectly with the place setting

We have used these candle holders before - but Pat replaced the colored votive holders for clear glass ones and used olive green tea lights to match the green in the place setting

Green Depression Glass Tablescape

Since Summer's end is near, we wanted to do one more bright, cheery table before Fall sets in. Inspiration for this table started with a "Spiral" dinner plate by the Hocking Glass Company (1928-1930). Pat chose a few more pieces of Depression glass to coordinate with the place setting and then selected some green goblets by the Tiffin Glass Company to finish it.

Flatware is simple and shiny - "Image" by Spode

These lovely goblets (and the flower "vase") are from the Tiffin Glass Company

Pat and I found these delicate napkin rings at a local antique store a few years ago.

Top layer of the place setting consists of a white vintage napkin surrounded by a lime green checked napkin held together with a shell and pearl napkin ring

The salad plate and dinner plate (that acts as a charger) are from Pier 1

The "Swirl" shape pattern was very popular with Depression glass - this one is "Spiral" by Hocking Glass

The "Madeline" dinner plate is used as a charger

Hocking Glass Company also made this sweet cup and saucer in the "Spiral" pattern

Pat cut fresh straw flowers from my garden and put them in a small juice goblet to match the other glassware
