Green Depression Glass Tablescape

Since Summer's end is near, we wanted to do one more bright, cheery table before Fall sets in. Inspiration for this table started with a "Spiral" dinner plate by the Hocking Glass Company (1928-1930). Pat chose a few more pieces of Depression glass to coordinate with the place setting and then selected some green goblets by the Tiffin Glass Company to finish it.

These lovely goblets (and the flower "vase") are from the Tiffin Glass Company

Pat and I found these delicate napkin rings at a local antique store a few years ago.

Top layer of the place setting consists of a white vintage napkin surrounded by a lime green checked napkin held together with a shell and pearl napkin ring

The salad plate and dinner plate (that acts as a charger) are from Pier 1

The "Swirl" shape pattern was very popular with Depression glass - this one is "Spiral" by Hocking Glass

The "Madeline" dinner plate is used as a charger

Hocking Glass Company also made this sweet cup and saucer in the "Spiral" pattern

Pat cut fresh straw flowers from my garden and put them in a small juice goblet to match the other glassware

Biker Betty Tablescape

Inspiration for a tablescape can come from any place. This week's table started with a checked black and white plate. In less than five minutes, Pat had the entire table done. This is what she came up with:
Over view of the table - sleek and sassy.

That's Betty - a lean, "mean," biker babe and her "machine....."

Close up of the place setting

Only silver flatware for Betty. This is "Windsong" by Nobility.

The luncheon/accent plate was the inspiration for this table - "Chequers" by Royal Stafford

Dinner plate is black "Fun Factory" by Waechtersbach

Pat fell in love with these chargers when we were at Pier 1 last week

The napkin ring reminded Pat of a motorcycle chain

Black glassware seemed like the perfect choice

Oh, Betty, you rock!

Pat used black Depressionware candle holders
