Spode Pink Tower Luncheon Table

Carrying through the theme of Spode transferware from our other blog (Here - Spode Blue Italian Casual Table), Pat used another very popular pattern - "Pink Tower" - to set this week's table.

Instead of butter, Pat always uses the butter pat to hold mints

Flatware is "Grand Colonial" sterling silver by Wallace - we received  eight complete place settings as a gift from our cousins (who, fortunately for us, also suffer from dishware addiction)

Speaking of our cousins, because of them and their generous gift of some Spode "Pink Tower," we now own a complete dinnerware set for eight of these....I "had to" add to the collection and haven't stopped since. It is truly an addiction.

Once again, Pat tried other glassware and found it did not look quite right. So, she turned to her favorite "go to" simple  pattern - Dollar Tree stemware..

Who doesn't recognize the iconic shape of Spode's coffee pot?

Dinnerware - "Pink Tower" by Spode from anywhere we can find it (eBay, Replacements.com, etc.)
Flatware - "Grand Colonial" by Wallace gifted to us by our cousins
Glassware - Inexpensive Libby goblets from the Dollar Tree
Silver Napkin Ring - from Art & Old Things (a local antique and giftware store)

Franciscan Carmel Table

Keeping with the retro coupe theme (our other blog is set with our Mother's vintage Sango "September Song" dinnerware), Pat set the table this week using Franciscan "Carmel" (1952-1981). It has a simple pink and gray center flower on a coupe rimless plate with platinum trim.

Although a modern, currently available  pattern, Lenox "Sculpt" flatware with it's pointed tip reminded Pat of a more vintage style and one that would have been used with "Carmel."
