Table For Mom

This week's table is a "dry run" for next week's Mother's Day table. The china that Pat used is Blue Danube -  a set that our Mother was buying before she passed away. I completed the set in her memory and have been very glad that I did. (Needless to say, we came by our dish addiction naturally since our Mother had the disease long before us.)

I bought two individual casseroles - one for Mom and one for me - when she was in the hospital. Sadly, she never got to use it. I still miss her after all this time....

Pat used two chargers - the blue glass charger is by Bormioli

Pat and I got these white chargers on sale at Pier 1 recently

There are four different backs to Blue Danube. This one was used from 1951 to 2000.

Pat was going to use Blue Danube candle holders that we have, but the table looked over-whelming with "blue" so she went with blue and white Dansk to tone it down a little.

Girls Night Out Challenge

Of course, Pat had to be a little "different" with her interpretation of the "Girls Night Out" challenge from Cuisine Kathleen. She thought it would be fun to have a teen slumber night out for the girls. Here's what she came up with:

I bought these white tumblers years ago at Pier 1. The ceramic milk bottle is from TJMaxx.

An ice cream sundae is a "must" at a sleep-over
