Apple Festival Time Table for One

One of the very few advantages of living in a small, rural community is the fun, family events that frequently take place. Pat is getting ready for the 29th annual Fortuna Apple Harvest Festival ( http://sunnyfortuna.com/festivals/apple/) by setting this week's table with an apple theme. (I'm afraid that hayrides, Barbershop quartet singing, Dutch Oven challenges, Fire bucket contests, and a host of other "home town" events don't really appeal to me, so I will be skipping it - again - this year.....)

Pat's husband spray painted an inexpensive lacquer charger with Paprika Rustoleum spray paint for plastics

Summer Trip to Hawaii Table for One

When Pat's daughter graduated from Medical school several years ago, she took Pat to Hawaii as a "Thank You" - just Mom and daughter to celebrate. (Poor Dad stayed at home.....) So, to Pat, Summer's end always brings back good memories of the wonderful time she had with her daughter.

It seemed natural to Pat that, when Cuisine Kathleen issued a challenge for this week to all tablescapers to do a "Farewell to Summer" table, a little "reminder" table of Hawaii would be perfect.

Over view of the table - we don't usually use plastic dishware, but as Pat said, this is the beach. Fine china just wouldn't be appropriate.

We found these glasses at Bed, Bath and Beyond, but we bought them at Ross for a lot less
